We are happy to announce that Aston Villa will once again be offering to pay for our coach to Villa Park as a gesture of goodwill for the Norwich game on the 5th November.

We again hope we are able to encourage new members and families on board who may or may not normally travel with us, and reward existing members for their loyalty and commitment in these hard economic times.

This is a fantastic gesture from the club but there is one condition that we fill a full coach i.e. 49 seats.

This offer is open to anyone not just members.

Any questions email john@northwestvilla.com

NWV 20011-12

Well it’s that time again, the fixtures are out, and the new kit is out, the new manager is in place so all we need know is a team on the pitch.

As you know there has been a lot of negativity around VP this summer but I really think know is the time to really get behind them whoever is in charge.

Remember chairman, manager, coach it is our club and we will be there longer than any of them.

So those who are in a positive frame of mind or shall we call it blind faith that have renewed their season tickets please let me know so I can gauge the size of transport that we will be looking at next season. Hopefully the transport will run as normal with the coach / minibus starting at Preston and running to every Premier League home game.

We do intend to travel to more away games this season as well.

Membership is now open for the 20011-12 season and can be paid via PayPal on the website. This season the supporters club will have its own bank account and the account details will be sent out as soon as we receive them. This will make it easier all round for everyone.

I intend to revamp the website slightly to incorporate Face book and Twitter so any other ideas you think may benefit the club please let me know.

I also intend to hold a meeting within the next couple of weeks to discuss next season so any ideas before would be greatly appreciated.

Last season was very poor for not only the team but also the supporters club. This was due to lack of time and effort on my behalf mainly due to work and family commitments. I intend to put that right this year but I will expect support from you guys. I want to get the supporters club back to where it was a couple of years ago.

So keep your eye on our website and also the official Lions club website for details.

For those that are wondering my season ticket has been renewed. If I’m honest this probably was going to be the year where I was going to struggle to renew but as a gift for Father’s Day my wonderful wife renewed it for me. I think she must want to get rid of me at week-ends.

So this season I intend to travel to a lot more home games (hope this doesn’t put you off)

So those who require tickets / travel for the Blackburn, Wolves and Newcastle games at Villa Park and the Fulham, Everton and QPR away games names are now being taken.

So with the season approaching and the situation at the club I wonder if our new motto should be

Anticipate excitement expect disappointment and this should cover us I reckon.

I look forward to hearing / seeing you all soon in the new season.

Keep the Faith

August & September

Following a constructive meeting on Weds I would like to thank Liz, Liam, Phil and Lee for attending and for their views on the supporters club for this season. I would also like to thank the people that couldn’t attend that took the time to drop their thoughts down and email them to me.

A Couple of strange ones at the meeting, Liam without a Villa shirt and even more stranger Lee with a lap top. Next meeting he says he might even open it.

I will drop an email early next week with the items discussed at the meeting but one thing I need to know now is regarding transport.

All games for August and September are on the tickets and travel section on the site and I need to gauge the interest for the new season before I book any transport.

The games listed are Valencia, West Ham, Everton and Bolton at Villa Park and Newcastle, Stoke and Wolves away.

We have about 5 season ticketholders to my knowledge this season that have not renewed so please can you let me know which games you will be travelling with us by email john@northwestvilla.com or by text 07971065081 as I am working all week-end so won’t have access to my phone.

I’ll be in touch next week,

North West Villa Meeting

Posted by: johnmorris

Tagged in: North West Villa

With the new season fast approaching there will be a meeting to discuss the way forward for the supporters club. The meeting will be held at the Days Inn Hotel which is situated at Charnock Richard Services Mill Lane Chorley and easy accesable from the M6. The hotel is on the north bound side but access is also available from the south bound. For those unsure of the location please contact me.
The meeting will take place on Weds 28th July at 6pm.
The main reason for the meeting is I will no longer be able to commit the time and effort into running probably the best Villa supporters club due to work and personal reasons.
I wouldn’t like to think how many hours I have put into the supporters club over the last 5 years but now I need help.
So please those who still want the supporters club to continue and still want the benefit of transport to every home Premier League game please come along so we can continue in our quest of following the best football club in the land.
I appreciate people will not be able to make it on the evening so if you can’t please email me your views, concerns or ideas for the club prior to Wednesday so we can discuss them on the night.
It would also be helpful if people could confirm there attendance so I can sort a room in the hotel.
With the help of you I’m sure we can continue this supporter's club in the successful manner that it has enjoyed over the last 5 years.

Keep the Faith
